If a teenager is being prescribed ADHD/ADD drugs, what would cause them to start to abuse their medication? Is it to do better in school? To “feel good”? Their doctor, who is prescibing too little or too much medication?

It’s a form of an otherwise illegal drug.

What makes you think it’s chemical and not a lack of awareness…..?
Have your child pay attention via meditation.

Meditating is vastly healthier and saner. It creates sanity.

it is Speed
the Dr knows this is controlled and only writes an Rx for 30 days to avoid this
there are teens who steal their friends add/adhd pills and parents take them as well
so what to say other than if the abuse continues the dr may stop prescribing the stuff or will make them come in for their dose on a daily basis
what a pain that would be
